Please join us for our General Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 7 pm, upstairs in the curling rink. All members are encouraged to attend the AGM to keep informed about what is happening in our club and to have an opportunity to provide input. Registration forms will be available at the meeting.
2025-2026 Season Information
Good Day Curlers,
I am James Taylor, President of the Stettler Curling Club board of directors.
You are receiving this e-mail as you provided it when signing up for curling last fall. If you do not want to continue to receive these e-mails please reply to this message asking to unsubscribe.
I am sending this out to update you on some changes this season as well as dates for all of the upcoming events, from our AGM, registration and bonspiels.
The board is looking forward to the upcoming curling season and the exciting changes you will see.
The curling club, with the help of a Provincial grant, purchased 6 vinyl sheets from Hack to Hack that will be used in place of painted ice, starting this season. These sheets will reduce the amount of time required to put in the curling ice, from an estimated 100 hours of volunteer time to a few hours of help. These vinyl sheets roll out from end to end, will eliminate the need for any paint (savings of over $2,000 per season) and will reduce the time required to put in the ice and have it ready to go.
The AGM is scheduled for Oct 14 at 7:00 PM at the curling club upstairs.
There are some key items that the board will ask the membership to vote on.
These includes:
Overview of the annual financial report
Format of the Farmers bonspiel (details to be discussed at meeting)
Vote to decide if the club will continue to belong to Alberta Curling (fees are $22 for upcoming season)(details to be discussed at meeting)
Membership fees
Bonspiel dates
Election of officers and board members
Curling season will run from Oct. 20 to Dec. 19th, 2025 and Jan. 5th to March 29th, 2026.
Registration will be in the evenings of Oct. 15th and 16th at the curling club.
Learn to curl will also run in conjunction with registration nights for anyone interested in curling to come try it.
